Hello reader!
You’re probably wondering who the writer of this blog is, what this blog will be about, what makes this blog stand out from the rest, and most importantly what will make you come back ready for more.
I’d like to start by giving you some insight into the writer. My name is Aimee. Close friends and family call me Aims. I became a mother in 2021 during the peak of the coronavirus and its dreadful variants. That experience in itself is worth writing about.
Now that we are on a first name basis, let’s dig into why I created this blog.
Before becoming a mother, I would always hear mothers say things like….
- “this is the hardest yet most rewarding job”
- “if you want to know who truly supports and cares for you, have a baby”
- “it truly takes a village and even with a village you are still exhausted” etc….
With all of these quotes and words of advice flying at me I took it with a grain of salt…. UNTIL I experienced it. I am here to tell my story, thoughts, opinions, trials, triumphs, etc to moms that can relate.
Now you may be wondering, that is nice and all but what makes you different and why should I keep coming back to read more? Well, let’s be honest with ourselves for a moment here. Where can you truly go on the internet and read a candid experience about motherhood? Can you name a space where you can unwind on a Sunday night, read a blog post and say “damn, I felt that!”….? If not, that is the type of reaction and response I intend to provide my readers. I am a 25 year old mother who is TIRED! I work full time, I am a full time mother, and a full time fiance. All 3 require all of my attention. MOMMY IS TIRED! But mommy is not too tired to share her thoughts with mothers alike. If this sounds like something you would love to read and engage with, leave your email below to be the first alerted when new blogs are posted.
I look forward to fulfilling your “ME” time every Sunday at 7pm 🙂
